Sports Day
Downside & Hatchford Sports Day started in the 19th Century, as a way of bringing all the Village Community together for some fun and games, it originally took place on Whit Sunday, But in 1910, as a mark of respect to King Edward VII, who died shortly before Whit Sunday (6th May 1910).
